Musician Press Kit

Haywire

Project

The Challenge

A Seattle-based music producer needed an online presence to showcase work, attract potential collaborators, and gain media attention. The goal was a comprehensive online press kit featuring a music portfolio, biography, press releases, and contact information. It had to be visually engaging, easy to navigate, and cost-effective, while reflecting the producer’s style and staying within a limited budget.

Haywire marketing site section used as a foundation for the digital press kit.

The Solution

We built the press kit on Google Sites to keep costs low and updates simple (CMS = Content Management System). The site uses a minimalist design to keep attention on the music and key information, with templates customized to fit the producer’s aesthetic. The content includes a portfolio section for tracks, a bio, a press area with downloadable assets (press releases and high-resolution images), and a contact page with straightforward navigation. We embedded high-quality audio and video players and connected media through platforms like YouTube and Google Drive for smooth playback and easy content management. Basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) practices were applied, and Google Analytics was integrated to track visitor behavior and engagement.

The Results

Within the first two months after launch, the site increased monthly traffic by 50% and increased time on site by 40% as visitors explored the portfolio and press materials. Inquiries and collaboration offers through the contact form increased by 30%, resulting in three collaboration projects and two media features. Social media link integration contributed to a 25% increase in followers, expanding the producer’s reach and audience engagement.
